*I finally got the chance to email and thank you for helping my husband and I have our beautiful little baby boy . We had had difficulty for many years and although we combined Acupuncture with fertility treatment we truly believe that it was the acupuncture that did it! Pain Management

*I have feared doctors and especially needles since I was vaccinated before first grade. I passed out then and have done the same many times since, often at only the sight of a needle. Now that I am older and have recently had other health problems that have required blood tests, I am getting more practiced but have had to lie down for these "needle encounters," which did not always prevent my fainting. I am now occasionally able to sit up for needle insertions, but not all of the time. My wife, who has had much relief from her fibromyalgia symptoms thanks to Dr. Yang, talked me into trying acupuncture. My shoulder and neck were stiff and sore and I found it difficult to turn around while backing up my car. She assured me Dr. Yang was very gentle and caring. I found relief after the first treatment and didn’t even pass out! I have also had successful treatment for sore teeth due to a new crown. Not only has Dr. Yang helped my physical symptoms, but acupuncture has helped me overcome my fear of needles!

*I just wanted to express how pleased I am with the treatments and care that I have received from Dr. Yang at the Chinese Acupuncture & Herbs Center, LLC. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yang to anyone who is considering acupuncture. I had tolerated chronic foot pain for almost two years. The trouble, most likely, stemmed from a life style change, from being a couch potato to becoming a physically active person. While I reaped and enjoyed the enhanced health benefits, from doing aerobic classes, jogging, and participating in my first triathlon, my body had to adjust, after years of being sedentary. I had no history of chronic foot pain or foot problems, but my feet developed the very painful sensation of constantly walking on bad bruises. I felt an improvement, after the very first acupuncture session with Dr. Yang. We continued the sessions a couple of times a week for the first few weeks. The pain completely disappeared and has not recurred since. I was thrilled to find a solution that was convenient, accessible, painless, and most importantly, non-invasive. I found Dr. Yang, and his staff, to be very supportive, thorough, and attentive. In addition to continuing aerobics and kick boxing classes, I am currently training for my second triathlon and my first marathon. I am motivated for both and am free from pain.

*I’m writing to thank you for your superb care during my recent acupuncture treatment for my foot (post-surgery). This was my first exposure to acupuncture, and I was very pleased with the results following the recommended six weeks of treatment. Unsatisfied with continued stiffness and pain at the base of my left big toe, six months after foot surgery, I hoped for some relief. After your first treatment, I felt more flexibility in my toe and more tingling and sensation throughout my foot. The pain level gradually decreased, and by week 5, the pain had decreased significantly. The acupuncture process of inserting needles at specific spots around my foot was new to me. I didn’t need to be apprehensive, as I felt little when the needles were inserted beyond a prick, and Dr. Yang was always careful to gauge the degree of electrical stimulation that accompanies the treatment. Warm lights directed over the area increased the sensation of warmth and well being. I followed Dr. Yang’s instruction to continue to keep my foot warm between treatments. Since I filled out a medical history noting several other problems, including frequent sinus headaches in the winter, hot flashes due to menopause, and lower back pain, Dr. Yang proceeded to help me with these as well. I was amazed that following treatments for my headaches, I no longer needed Tylenol on a once to twice a week basis, as I did in the past. Dr. Yang used special pads on the nose that provide gentle electrical stimulation that seemed pleasant and soothing. Also, my hot flashes seemed to decrease in intensity and frequency following needle placements at key points on my abdomen, although this is harder to qualify than the lowering of pain. Lastly, I was happy to have treatments for my chronic lower back pain. As with the other treatments, I felt a sensation of warmth and movement in that area that was pleasant and relaxing. I also noticed that even if a certain needle point is a little sensitive at first, within a minute or two it disappears and feels relaxed. As reinforcement for these treatments, I attended Tai Chi classes, which, like acupuncture, rely on the concept of the movement of healthy energy throughout the body, and balancing "ying" and "yang" or the "chi" energy within the body. Surprisingly, this exercise also helped reduce pain and enhance strength, especially in the back and legs, as well as helping to reduce stress, as it also focuses on special points within the body from which energy naturally flows. Through relaxation and focusing the mind on body healing, acupuncture can offer a patient a means to help his own body regain balance and health. I think that we are most fortunate in the Pittsburgh area to have someone of Dr. Yang’s ability and knowledge.

Migraine/Headaches

*This letter is a thank you for the treatments that you have given me throughout the past year. The results are amazing. I would appreciate it if you would share this letter with your patients. Many times I have had migraine headaches that you have treated and they have resolved within two hours. Usually my migraines last three to five days. Incredibility! I am allergic to cats and dogs, and was having a reaction that was horrendous. Within two hours, all of the symptoms were gone after your treatment. Usually it would take five to seven days for me to recover from such an incident. Unbelievable! You are working on building my immune system, so that I am healthier. It is difficult, since I have four immune deficiency problems, however I am getting stronger and am having fewer asthmatic incidents. Remarkable! How can a person thank you enough for all of your knowledge that you use to care for me and your other patients. Quit Smoking

*I just wanted to let you know how much you have helped me live without smoking. I had made the first decision to quit but I knew I would need help. So that's were you came in. I had read about acupuncture and smoking cessation and thought I would give it a try. The first day that I came to you for treatment, I had given the rest of the pack of cigarettes to a co-worker but saved just 1 for the ride home. Well I thought I would smoke just that 1 on the way home from work. I lit up and took a puff and began coughing and the taste was so bad, I immediately pitched it. Wow! I continued to see you each week and I only made one other attempt to light up and immediately gave it up after the smell and coughing got to me. Oh, I do occasionally think about it but since coming to you, I don't feel anxious about cigarettes and I really don't have a desire to light up again. You not only helped me get through this but each time I come in and tell you how I feel, you always say, "I can fix that!" You have been great and I would recommend this approach to quitting to anyone as long as that person has made up their mind to honestly quit smoking. Like anything, the will has to be there too. Chronic sinus Problem

*I want to express my heartfelt thanks to you for enabling my sense of smell to return through the use of acupuncture. Over the years, I had lost my sense of smell with chronic sinus problems. Two years ago, I had surgery, with the hope that my sense of smell would return. Unfortunately, it did not. Later, I remembered reading an article regarding the use of acupuncture to relieve sinus conditions, and I thought it was worth a try. You may recall that I visited your office for the first time in October 2002, and most wonderfully, I was able to smell the aroma of the turkey cooking on Thanksgiving Day of that year. What a pleasure and joy that was. To have that sense of smell returned to me was priceless! I now enjoy the smell of grass being cut, fresh coffee being brewed, and most of all, the most wonderful, sweet smell of my new grand daughter! I will always be grateful to you Dr. Yang for returning those pleasures to me. Partial Facial Paralysis

*I work for a major pharmaceutical company and I have learned that it is imperative to be pro-active when treating disease states. When I first came to your office, you said, Howard I will help you! . Those few words were all that I needed to know. After three months of weekly visits, I am proud to say, I can smile and blink my eye again after having suffered from partial facial paralysis and being told that there was a high possibility that I would never regain "normal " movement. Your therapy of gentle electrical stimulation thru the acupuncture needles placed around my face worked!
